The client, seeking a multifunctional garden retreat, wanted a structure that would blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment while offering both aesthetic and practical benefits. The Glide Pod, with its sleek, sustainable design and natural timber finish, complements the coastal setting beautifully. The garden building not only provides a tranquil escape but also includes a practical store area dedicated to garden equipment. This built-in storage solution ensures the garden remains clutter-free, supporting the client's lifestyle needs. The timber sliding Louvre to the front of the building, cleverly hides the store entrance door whilst also offering screening from the summer sun or privacy as needed.
The landscape designer, who was keen to incorporate eco-conscious elements into the project, selected the Glide Pod for its environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient design. The Pod, constructed from sustainably sourced timber and insulated with high-performance materials, reduces the need for additional heating and cooling, aligning with the client’s vision of a low-impact outdoor space.
