When Stephen contacted us to discuss his needs for a gym in the garden of his beautiful home within a conservation area we were happy to help. The home is a perfect blend of traditional red brick and modern timber clad extension, set within landscaped grounds. The Glide Pod is the perfect building to complement the surrounding area.
The building was strategically positioned close enough to the house for accessibility but offering a separate peaceful space. The glazing to the front and side made the best of the views across the gardens as well as affording the opportunity to open up the doors for a fresh air workout. To make the very best of the Glide Pod as a gym, we also fitted air to air heat pumps to keep the space cool in summer and warm in the colder months.
The finished result is a building which works harmoniously with the lush green border planting that surrounds it. The client chose dark grey frames and panel cladding to complement the Siberian Larch of the garden gym Pod. The garden reflected in the full height glazing further helps the building to blend in to the surrounding garden.
On the interior we included floor sockets to easily plug in the gym equipment and data functionality for the all important audio visuals. The final result being a garden gym Pod to be proud of.
