We are delighted to showcase photography of a previous project for an extended Glide Pod. Situated within the garden design from The London Gardener it is a fabulous example of functionality made beautiful.
We were approached directly by the Wandsworth based client with a brief for an extended Glide Pod to function as a sitting room, gym and separate garden store area. The final design features an open plan interior with plenty of space to include gym equipment as well as a relaxing lounge area. To the right side of the building is a self contained and separately accessed store which is screened by a sliding timber louvre. To make the best use of the available space, we responded to the need for a Pod to take up the full available width of the garden. We were able to take advantage of permitted development for homeowners to maximise the footprint and include everything that the growing family needed.
Other features of Emma, The London Gardeners design include a pathway to elongate the garden and draw the eye towards the Pod which was a central feature to the end of the garden. Planting and trees are positioned around the building, the result being a blend of natural timbers and striking black feature cladding beautifully framed within contrasting greens and greys of the garden palate.
The garden and Glide Pod reflect the needs of a growing family and create a whole new way to use their outdoor spaces all year around.
